Pacificon Presentations

Recently David, W6DTW, Cap, KE6AFE, and I hosted an APRS forum at Pacificon in San Ramon, CA. One of David's goals is to pull together APRS users in California to form a group that can work together on improving APRS support in the state. Cap has been kindly advising users who are using APRS with old or incorrect path settings for quite a while now and expressed current standard APRS paths and how to use them. And I of course presented on OpenAPRS and announced our new software for iPhone that opens up the world of APRS messaging and positions to mobile phones.

The following links below are links to the power point presentations by each of us:

  1. NorCal APRS
  2. The APRS Problem
  3. OpenAPRS

The OpenAPRS PDF isn't readable. The text is white, and so's most of the background of each page.

Looks like a good presentation... hope someone can update it so we can see what it says!

Frank, are you using Adobe Acrobat to read the file and if so what version? I'll see if I can get it fixed.

Frank, I tested the PDF file on Acrobat Reader 9 and everything looked ok. I suggest upgrading to see if that resolves the display problem.

Thanks for the tip -- upgrading to v9 did the trick. Odd that the earlier version treated the background so much differently, but at least the solution was simple. Thanks!
