OpenAPRS iE 1.2 Released
Here's what's new:
- 03/09/2010 - Added support for symbol overlays.
- 03/09/2010 - Added symbol rotation to match station course if given.
- 03/10/2010 - Added station search function with wildcard support.
- 03/12/2010 - Click message to set TO field.
- 03/12/2010 - Separate SSID for messaging.
- 03/12/2010 - Stations searched for can be tracked on a auto-refreshing map.
- 03/15/2010 - Shake to reveal map console.
- 03/15/2010 - Shake to refresh messages (when viewing message window).
- 03/15/2010 - Map distance option for selecting stations on map.
- 03/15/2010 - Allow 72 hour preactivation use in case user doesn't get activation email for some reason.
- 03/18/2010 - Add metric conversions.
- 03/18/2010 - Correct speed down to 0 when assuming no movement.

It would be great if you could add a feature that sends the iPhone's GPS coordinates to a TNC (tinytrak or opentraker+) and use it with an HT. I live in an area with ZERO APRS activity. It would benefit those outside of digipeater range too. Thanks!

That would be a great feature except at the moment iPhone does not support any serial communications that I know of. At least not that the SDK will allow you to code for.
